I had a dream about you last night…
All of our friends were there and somehow even though we all knew that you weren’t really with us, we all talked like you had never left… I asked you what heaven was like, you told me it was good, and we sat around and talked for hours, laughing at stupid things the way we always had. I almost woke up in tears, and didn’t know why until I remembered what I was dreaming about. And I know it was just a dream, but it feels so good to have actually said goodbye, even if it wasn’t real. Rest in peace old friend, we all love you.

I thought I’d post some lyrics from my upcoming demo. Feedback would rule.
These first lyrics are from a song that I wrote for the recent passing of my friend Kacey. Basically the song is about losing your way “back home”. And how sometimes it’s harder to get back than you thought.
I got lost on my way back home…
And I’m afraid that nobody knows.
And if misery loves company, then why do I feel so alone?
Now tell me when this train is all derailed, will you try and help me out?
And if I dug this hole right now, would you try and pull me out?
And should I find my way home, I guess only time will tell…
